DescriptionSeries of 3 stamps. On 30 L. St. Cyril, on 150 L St. Methodius. The 70 L stamp shows a sixteenth-century map of Hungary, Moravia, and Poland.
They are credited with devising the Glagolitic alphabet, the first alphabet used to transcribe Old Church slavonic.Both brothers are venerated in the Orthodox Church as saints. In 1880 they are also venerated as saints in the Roman Catholic Church.
